On Tuesday, 22 February 2022, the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group and CMB.TECH launched Namibia's first green hydrogen production plant. The plant, a demonstration hub for hydrogen applications, will be built in the Erongo region. The construction will start during 2022 with the aim to be operational by the end of 2023. On 29 July 2021, The Right Honorable Dr. Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia, officially opened the 1,500m2 field hospital for COVID-19 patients at Windhoek Central Hospital, with Honorable Dr. Kalumbi Shangula, Minister of Health and Social Services, also in attendance. The field hospital is to act as a ward to the Katutura Intermediate Hospital and has the capacity to accommodate 70 patients as well as the capability for extension as needed. Pledges of N$ 4 million were made by private Namibian entities towards this vital project.

Beer volumes supplied to South Africa were down by 66.1% due to lockdown conditions and alcohol bans. Export volumes contracted by 15% with Tanzania and Zambia still performing well, also given a favourable exchange rate during the reporting period.
