The Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group is delighted to continue its legacy as the main sponsor of the Windhoek Karneval (WiKa) 2025, an annual cultural spectacle that brings communities together in a vibrant display of heritage, joy and unity. Under the theme ‘Mensch! Ärgere Dich nicht!’ (‘Stay calm and carry on!’ or ‘Mens! Moenie kwaad raak nie!’), this year’s Karneval is a tribute to Namibian resilience and spirit, promising an unforgettable celebration of festivity and tradition.
O&L Executive Chairman and WiKa Patron, Sven Thieme, shares his enthusiasm for the event: “This year's theme is a celebration of Namibian resilience, joy and our incredible cultural heritage. A Spectacular Line-up of Events - The WiKa 2025 programme promises something for everyone, from elegant balls to lively street processions, youth carnivals and electrifying international performances. Highlights include:
27 March – Royal Ball: A night of elegance and celebration with a champagne reception and formal attire.
28 March – Prunksitzung: An evening of laughter and entertainment with comedy, music and a festive spirit.
29 March – Street Procession & NBL WiKa Beerfest: A vibrant street parade followed by an unforgettable beer festival.
30 March – KiKaWi - Children's Carnival: A special day of fun and excitement dedicated to young carnival-goers.
2 April – HeDaMa: A night of glamour celebrating the contributions of Namibian women and men.
3 & 4 April – International Evenings: Two spectacular nights featuring both local and international talent.
5 April – JuKa - Youth Carnival: A high-energy celebration designed for young revellers.
6 April – Afterparty: A grand finale to close off WiKa 2025 with music, dance and lasting memories.
